Workshops and Concerts

We are thrilled to announce the complete listing of The Front Porch’s spring 2019 group classes! Click HERE to see our complete catalogue and to register. We have many of your old favorites and LOTS of new classes to choose from including The Dreamtime Project for Kids, Carter Family Tunes, Fiddle for Violinists, and Singer/Songwriter Means Writing Songs & Performing Them! — to name just a few!

We are rolling out a new core curriculum for all levels of students, including ukulele, guitar, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin, in addition to numerous specialty and ensemble classes. Another exciting addition to our schedule is what we are calling “passing jams,” fifteen minute jam sessions held directly after all of our core classes, supported by teaching artists. Students can experience the joy of playing in a group setting and practicing the skills they learn in class from day one! If you’re interested in taking private lessons, we offer instruction on a variety of instruments. Click HERE to learn more. If you don’t see something offered, just ask! We’ll do our best to match you with an instructor for the instrument of your choosing. Email us at or call 434-806-7062 to discuss placement and availability.
