The Front Porch hosted our first ever Gear Swap this past weekend, for musicians to buy, sell, and trade their old instruments, audio equipment, and gear.Â

The Front Porch is deeply honored to launch a partnership with Hospice of the Piedmont. Since the beginning of this year, we’ve been sending musicians to play for Hospice patients, their family members, and caregivers at The Linden House Assisted Living and The Blake. Our goal is that music will provide warmth, peace, and connection during end of life care.

Tuning in at home: Alice Clair is a singular talent—one you’ll often find jamming with her psych-rock band The BLNDRS. The folk rock singer-songwriter performs for The Front Porch’s ongoing series Save the Music.
It’s tough to summarize Brennan Gilmore’s versatile musicianship. His current group Wild Common blends rootsy, folky, power soul. Those bluegrass and country leanings will suit him well when he teams up with mandolin virtuoso Andy Thacker for Save the Music.
