BIO

I have always had a love of singing and playing music. Growing up in Roanoke, Virginia I was around all kinds of music: particularly Old time, Folk, Jazz, and Classical. After graduating from Longy School of Music in Boston with a degree in vocal performance and a minor in piano, I continued my musical studies in Vienna, Austria. Since then, I have taken up the harp with teachers in Virginia and Ireland. As an active folk harper, I especially enjoy accompanying myself singing on the harp.

One of my biggest passions is sharing and teaching music, especially to beginners and children. I have been teaching piano, voice, and harp for a number of years, and I currently direct the Christ Episcopal Church children’s chorister program.

I perform regionally with the historical/folk fusion group Ars Memoria, and in the country-folk vocal duo Briar Wilde. Currently I am recording Briar Wilde’s debut album, which will be released in 2025.

MUSICAL DREAM/FUN FACT

Fun Fact: I love doing percussive dances like Irish Sean-nós and Appalachian flatfooting.
