BIO

A serial creative, I do my best to follow the voice of fresh inspiration wherever it takes me. I started learning the piano as a youngster in Saskatoon, SK (it’s in Canada) before moving to Charlottesville when I was six and resuming lessons with jazz pianist Evan Mook. At Albemarle High School I got to perform in Jennifer Morris’s choirs, eventually serving as President and Music Director for one of the student-led a cappella groups. After matriculating to UVA, I took 3 semesters of University Singers with Michael Slon before transferring to NYU to pursue my dream of writing musical theatre, where I sang in choir and a cappella, acted as music director for a variety of student productions, and took classes in composition, theory, and aesthetics. Nowadays, I write songs, jam with my band, and share my knowledge and love of music through the Front Porch!
