Drum Teacher

The Front Porch is currently seeking applicants for a drum teacher for private lessons and group class instruction for kids and some adults! Ideal candidates would have the following skills/qualifications:

– Experience working with ages 8 and above (required).

– At least one year prior experience teaching percussion/drum-set (preferred but not required). Must have a good grasp of fundamentals, rudiments, drum technique, and written music.

– Ability to organize lessons and provide relevant physical material (PDFs, worksheets, books, etc.), both lesson to lesson and long term.

– Promotes a positive learning environment, while still able to challenge students and provide helpful and constructive feedback.

– Able to adjust and tailor lessons student to student, and provide ample material instruction for practice at home.
– Has access to their own equipment, or at least a snare drum and/or practice pads.
-A flexible weekday schedule with availability starting at 3 pm (required), or Saturday morning availability.
