BIO
I grew up at Twin Oaks Community in Louisa County, VA, living cooperatively with 80 adults and 15 kids, many of whom were wonderful musicians and teachers. My first guitar teacher was Dan Sebring, who I’m now proud to call a colleague here at The Front Porch! Back in my rock n roll touring days, I only taught sporadically. Now I have a little daughter, and I’m proud to be spending more time at home, reconnecting with my community and growing into a more experienced and multi-faceted teacher. I also currently serve on the Front Porch board as a teacher liaison.
MUSICAL DREAM/FUN FACT
When I’m not teaching or performing, my interests include birding-by-ear and avoiding cooking. I can tie my shoes really fast, and some of my friends call my style of dressing "Space Granny."
