BIO
I first fell in love with the guitar when I discovered MTV and the hard rock of the early 80s. As I grew as a guitarist, my interests turned to classic rock, the blues that inspired those classics, late-60s jazz-rock fusion, and more traditional forms of jazz and other American music. I have been a full-time musician and guitar teacher since 1995.
In 2001, I cofounded the rock group Assembly of Dust. We have toured the entire USA and played festivals including Bonnaroo, High Sierra, and more. I’ve shared the stage with and/or recorded with Martin Sexton; Grace Potter; members of the Allman Brothers Band; members of Phish; Victor Wooten; Edie Brickell; and others. In 2006 I cofounded the vintage progressive rock group Ghosts of Jupiter, and in late 2021, we released our fifth and latest album, Keepers of the Newborn Green.
I’ve been teaching guitar for more than 25 years; I love sharing what I’ve learned with others.
