Please join us on Friday, February 23rd from 8:00 – 10:30 PM for a special performance featuring a musical collaboration between two artists Andrew Finn (Asheville, NC) and Peter Mawanga (Malawi) who tour blending the traditional sounds of their native continents in exciting original music. Our monthly Open Mic & Potluck will be held on Sunday, March 11th from 5:30 – 9:00 PM. This event is free, open to the public, and features many Front Porch students, songwriters, and friends. More information here.

Join us on Wednesday, March 21 from 8:00 – 9:30 PM as Barry Bergey and Tom Pich (Folk Masters) discuss their tribute to folk artists who have been named National Heritage Fellows, the highest honor the U.S. government awards to traditional artists, with Virginia state folklorist Jon Lohman. National Heritage Fellows Phil Wiggins and Sherman Holmes will perform with Almeta Ingram-Miller, Cora Harvey Armstrong, and Jared Pool. More information here.

We are pleased to welcome Wild Ponies, a folk, Americana, and alt-country duo born and raised in Southwest Virginia but hailing from Nashville, to The Front Porch for a songwriting workshop followed by a concert on Sunday, April 8th.
