Although I wasn’t born in Charlottesville, it’s been my home since I was seven years old. I started singing in church at an early age and quickly discovered my love for musical theater while attending summer camps at Live Arts (just a block down from The Front Porch). My vocal journey continued when I joined the Virginia Consort at age 12 and realized just how much I love listening to and singing classical music, particularly masterworks like Verdi’s Requiem. Most recently, I graduated from Oberlin College where I studied both Theater and Africana Studies, further equipped with the rich history and culture that is Black music. All in all, my eclectic musical style was born out of a love for the stage, the music itself, and the wonderfully talented singers around me.
