I was lucky to be born into a musical family. My grandfather was a composer/arranger, my mom was an internationally touring folk-singer, and my dad played a mean trumpet. At age 14 I found my mom’s guitar. It opened up a connection to music and songwriting that has shaped me ever since. I have worked with children and families through most of my adult life. I taught Pre-K in Montessori schools, led Music Together classes and Library outreach programs, and was an administrator at a number of child¬†focused non-profits. On and off through the years I have played around Cville and beyond and I am currently working on an album. In my¬†free time I’m often hanging with my daughter and two dogs, reading about tiny houses and homesteading, or out in the woods as far as I can get. I can sometimes be found at Open Mic at the Local, and I am ever more grateful to be part of this generous musical community.
