BIO
I have been teaching voice in the Charlottesville area for around 10 years. I took my first voice lesson 26 years ago and was hooked from that day forward. I love that no matter how deeply you dive into vocal and body mechanics, there is still magic in how it all comes together. I love that there is always more to learn. Our voices are a deep expression of who we are and I see my role as helping you to discover what is already waiting to pour out. I have a degree in music from UVA, have sung in operas around the US and Germany, and write/sing/play the piano in a dark cabaret project called Please Don’t Tell. I am certified in all three levels of Somatic Voicework(tm) and am in my third year of Alexander Technique teacher training (AmSAT). I study voice with Metropolitan Opera soprano, Danielle Talamantes.
