Description: This introductory violin class is perfect for adults who are beginners and just getting started with learning the violin! Students will learn foundational skills including parts/structure of the violin, basic care for the violin, how to hold the violin and the bow, some rhythm and music theory, as well as how to play some beginner level songs (e.g., Twinkle Twinkle Little Star). We will begin going through the Essential Elements for Strings book.
Prerequisite: None! This class will be starting students from scratch. Anyone with a little prior experience but with only a tune or two under their belt may join this class as well.
Required materials: tuner, notebook and pencil for practice assignments, folder for music, violin, bow, rosin, shoulder rest
