Description: The class will learn a basic jazz blues form, explore various jazz standards, learn how to read and interpret a chord chart, and become familiar with the most used scales for jazz improvisation.
Prerequisite: Beginner – This non-music reading course is open to intermediate level guitar players who are reasonably accomplished in strumming, using a few basic barre chords, playing scales, can comfortably pull off straightforward solos, and who would like to know more about the fundamentals of Jazz Guitar.
What students will need:
Functional guitar (bridge and all 6 strings intact, tuners in working order)
