Description: Join Molly for a sampling of the Women in Popular Music from the 1990’s. Whether you’re a singer, instrumentalist, or enthusiast, we’ll review the nostalgic hits of yester-year, share some insights about the artist/band, and sing & jam together as a group. “In my solo performances, I cover The Cranberries, Alanis Morissette, Jewel, Sarah McLachan, K’s Choice, Bonnie Raitt, etc. and these are the women that helped shape my singing styles and repertoire in pop music from my highschool days.” Students are encouraged to make song suggestions and even lead songs as they are comfortable.
Prerequisite: none
What you will learn: some fun facts about the musicians, a sampling of songs from this genre and decade
What students will need: an instrument, if applicable
In addition to private lessons and group classes, The Front Porch also hosts concerts in our intimate music venue.
