Level: open to anyone with an intermediate facility on their instrument, be it guitar, bass, drums, or keyboard
Age: Adults
Winter Session (12 weeks): Wednesdays, 1/04/23 – 3/22/23
6:15pm – 7:10pm
Classes will be held at our Downtown location (221 East Water Street).
Description: Classes will be divided into 3 12-week sessions. The first session will cover popular music from 1960 through 1969 the second and third sessions will cover from 70 to 79 and 80 through 89 respectively.
Material to be covered – the elements of the various styles and ways of playing rock ‘n’ roll between the years of 1960 and 1990. Music which the classes will be covering will include bands such as the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Motown, Funk, Dylan, The Band, Tom Petty, Elvis Costello and Creedence Clearwater.
Prerequisite:
Students should have a working knowledge of their instrument, which may include guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards. Students will also be encouraged to have the opportunity of trying instruments they may not have previously had a chance to explore.
