This month’s featured artist is Turtle Zwadlo
Turtle Zwadlo is a folk troubadour singing tales that unfold like vignettes. Described as sounding like James McMurtry with the folksiness of Dylan, giving voice to the often overlooked with poignant lyrics and haunting arrangements he brings the listener into his character’s lives to sit at their table for a moment, and leave feeling that we are more alike than we are different. As a sideman and bassist Turtle has supported artists across Virginia and beyond for decades and is now inspired to offer his own songs and experiences to the universe. He recently released his debut recording titled “Drunken Squirrel Diet”. Turtle currently lives in Crozet, Virginia where he misses city life and stands in the yard at night, staring at the stars.
