Inspired by Folk, Americana, and Classic Rock, her lyrics are rich and complex, rooted in natural imagery. Nan began playing guitar at a young age her hometown in the suburbs of Boston. She later moved to Charlottesville, Virginia where she studied poetry writing and music at University of Virginia. She immersed herself in the local music scene, volunteering at a local radio station, a music management firm, and at a recording studio, and performing around town. She dove deep into creative writing during this time, resulting in multiple publications.
In 2018, Nan completed her Masters in Contemporary Performance with a Production Concentration at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain. She has now returned to Charlottesville, where you can find her performing original music at local venues and preparing to record her first EP, to be released in Fall of 2019.
