In 1893, Nellie O’Gara arrived in Rhode Island. She had left her home in Ireland at the age of 17. Through dance, poems, and music, Providence tells the story (real and imagined) of Nellie’s marriage, her motherhood, her memories. Providence is created and directed by Dinah Gray and features local artists J.J. Cromer, Vivien Fergusson, Katherine Nies, and Edwin Roa.

As time elapses, distance lessens.
