Cville native Mariana Bell is an award-winning singer/songwriter whose career has spanned several decades and genres, from acoustic folk to cinematic indie rock to EDM. Her evocative, soulful lyrics and powerful, crystal clear vocals have created a signature sound as she has evolved and toured from Charlottesville to Australia, Europe and beyond. Playful and jazzy, sultry and folky, or just a bit of rock, her unique live performances will keep your heart full and your ears engaged. A songwriting teacher at Village School, she believes the power of our words with music can transcend our traumas, elevate our joys, and allow creativity to give depth and meaning to our humanity. Mariana is thrilled and proud to present her 8th studio release, Still Not Sleeping, with an incredible local band (members of We Are Star Children, Rusty Speidel) and special guests.
