Front Porch Night at Peloton Station with Southwater
Feb 19 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Join us for Front Porch Night at Peloton Station (every third Wednesday of the month) – a night of music, food and drinks, featuring music by Front Porch teachers, staff and friends! This month we will have Southwater /// no cover.
Southwater is a bluegrass trio that plays with a respect to the traditional pioneers that precede them, while looking ahead with a progressive sound and modern songwriting ability. The Charlottesville, VA based group explores the vision of bringing new to the old, while establishing their own identity to the fold. Their combination of strong vocal harmonies along with technical musicianship makes for an exciting performance of unlimited possibilities. Gabe Robey provides soulful lead and harmony vocals along with lead guitar and mandolin. Rob Seal brings harmony vocals as well as lead guitar, mandolin, and banjo talents to the group. Dhara Goradia’s jazz infused bass lines provide the powerful backbone to the modern progressive sound. Robey and Seal’s songwriting shed an honest light on life experiences and the human spirit. Their brother duet style harmonies bring an authenticity to the high and lonesome sound. With a modern take on a traditional form, Southwater is sure to bring a pleasure to all listeners’ ears!
