An Evening of Valentine’s ‘Grass with Gallatin Canyon
February 16 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm$12 – $15
Doors 5:30 // Show 6:00 PM
Join us for an evening with Gallatin Canyon, a pre-party for The Steel Wheels at The Jefferson Theater!
Despite its Montana namesake, Gallatin Canyon is a Charlottesville, Virginia-based bluegrass band. True to its Virginia roots, the band is known for traditional bluegrass tunes with a refreshing, modern sensibility. Nodding to the bluegrass past with a traditional spin, Gallatin is also known for rebooting tunes from the both the older country and classic rock genres. So if traditional bluegrass isn’t your cup of whiskey, don’t worry — you’re likely to hear a few familiar, creatively-arranged classic rock and country favorites too. From Bill Monroe and Flatt & Scruggs, to the Beatles and the Grateful Dead, at any given show, you’ll hear an eclectic mix, crossing multiple musical genres. Featuring Luke Wilson (guitar, vocals), Ben Hernandez (mandolin, vocals), John Spangler (banjo, vocals), Jesse Wells (fiddle) and Zack Blatter (upright bass).
