Playing guitar is fun. Whether you are howling at the moon with a six-string in your hand, trading songs with friends on a sunny afternoon, or singing a lonely tune with your dog out in the backyard, learning to play guitar is a great joy. And if you practice, you can only get better. Folk Guitar – An Introduction is a course designed for the complete beginner with no prior knowledge or experience of music or guitar.  It is an introduction to basic major and minor chord progressions for accompaniment and singing, picking technique, blues scales for lead and melody playing, tuning, listening skills, and tablature reading.

Supplies needed:
A tunable working 6-string guitar
Flatpicks
Capo
A notebook, folder, and a pencil
Tuner
Recorder /phone (optional)
Tab and online learning tools/sources provided
